Not sure what it's called - but the plastic lever that releases the back seat (left hand side) has broken off and I need to buy a new one. Ive looked at dozens of parts diagrams and tried identifying the part, but failed miserably so far. The car is an E270 estate, 2008. Any help appreciated!

Looks to me like Item # 435 in diagram below.

If you ask the Main dealer Parts dept they will look it up on their microfiche scanner and identify the correct Part number.
Thanks for your help - but that's not it; it's neither a Stay nor a Fixture. However, this diagram is better than any I've found so far. From it, I've determined that the plastic plate on the top of the seat back (which the lever sits through) is definitely #180. It's also shown in an insert, top left, as #640 (both have the same part number). In that case the lever has to be one of either #630 or #610. #630 is described as a Cover (which is presumably an optional part, as mine have no covers); #610 is described as a Bracket - so my money is on #610. I'll give that a try. Re the dealers - Spanish main dealers won't do anything unless you pay them to do the job!! (and, from past experience, they'll do it wrong!!!) I'll post back once I have resolved the issue finally.

Parts like this may only come complete with a seat. Good luck. an old school breakers yard may be best bet.
